Title: From Architecture to Computational Design: Insights and Lessons Learned
Summary: As a Computational Designer, a persistent question often arises: How are others solving the problems I face?
In this presentation I will share (almost) everything I have learned. I will guide you through my transition from Architecture to Computational Design, revealing how I have approached and solved problems. Key examples will illustrate the transformative impact of Computational Design tools on design thinking and project delivery.
Discover how these tools enhance creativity, streamline processes, and how they transform the AEC industry. Additionally, explore the challenges, setbacks, and lessons learned, so you can avoid making the same mistakes.

Title: Utilising Dynamo to Streamline the Conversion of Council and Authority Existing Conditions Asset Codes into Revit
Summary: This presentation will cover an automated process for converting existing conditions site data into intelligent Revit models, focusing on maintaining field metadata and ensuring data traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Using Python, the Revit API, and Dynamo, we’ll explore how to automate the transformation of initial data capture into Revit objects that retain metadata, creating a traceable data pipeline. This approach ensures that underlying data is queryable and accessible at all stages of the project, improving workflow efficiency, collaboration, and decision-making through structured, visualized, and reliable data.
