What we’re about

Thinking Together in Good Company

Are you intrigued by philosophical questions but find academic discussions too rigid? Tired of social media debates that generate more heat than light? Join us for thoughtful conversations that bridge the gap between casual chats and scholarly discourse.

What We're About

Fort Collins Café Philosophique creates space for curious minds to explore meaningful questions in a relaxed café setting. We discuss everything from the nature of consciousness to the ethics of technology—no philosophy degree required, just an open mind and genuine curiosity.

Our discussions aim to:

Explore ideas rather than "win" arguments
Connect abstract concepts to everyday life
Welcome diverse perspectives and experiences
Build a community of thoughtful individuals

What to Expect

Each meetup centers around a specific philosophical question or concept. We'll provide a brief introduction and some thought-provoking prompts, but the real value comes from the conversation we create together.

We meet weekly at The Bean Cycle, Thursdays at 5:30 PM.

Who Should Join

Curious minds from any background
People who enjoy thinking deeply about life's questions
Those looking for meaningful conversation beyond small talk
Anyone who's ever stayed up late discussing the nature of reality
Both newcomers to philosophy and those with more background

You don't need to be an expert—the only requirements are curiosity, respect for others, and willingness to consider new perspectives.
Join us for our next gathering and be part of a tradition that dates back to the sidewalk cafés of Paris but speaks to questions that remain vital today.

"The unexamined life is not worth living." - Socrates
