I always get plenty of help on the holidays but we need help even more during the week.

We will prepare and serve a meal at least once a month at the Women's Shelter. This is a MUCH smaller/easier job than our Thanksgiving meal was.

Here are the details

• The food costs about $100 to feed the residents. I charge $20 to sign up. I pay for everything out of my pocket so this helps me offset some of the cost.
• only 15-30 shelter guests for these smaller dinners, we will be notified the week before of the head count
• 3-4 volunteers needed
• The shelter asks that after everyone is served the volunteers prepare their own plates and sit with the guests to eat dinner with them. The point is to help them feel normal and human
• kitchen helpers will clean up so we just provide the food, cook it, serve and go

For security reasons, the building is VERY non-descript and has no signage. It is on the corner and looks like a normal apartment building with a fence around the side.
