About us
DTS runs choreography blocks — structured dance rehearsal series built around one piece of choreography.
Instead of learning choreography once and moving on, you stay with the same routine across multiple sessions, with the same group, long enough for it to actually settle.
This is the rehearsal room.
A space to repeat, refine, perform, and fully get into the movement — somewhere between dance class, rehearsal process and performance experience.
Each block focuses on:
One choreography
A fixed group
Multiple sessions
A final run-through or filmed performance
The format is designed for people who want more than picking choreography up once and forgetting it the next day.
Some come because they miss dancing.
Some because they want to go deeper into choreography.
Some because they want to experience the feeling of working towards something as a group.
You don’t need to be a professional dancer.
But you do need openness, commitment, and willingness to stay with the process.
This isn’t about learning the most choreography.
It’s about actually getting into one.

Marlie brings a contemporary fusion style where flow, groove, bounce and expression come together. Drawing from hip hop, floorwork and commercial performance, her classes focus on musicality, movement quality and full-bodied performance energy.
Across the block, you’ll work through dynamic choreography that moves between strength and softness — building towards a final filmed performance as a group.
Marlie teaches at Dancer Creative Contemporary (Arnhem), ISH Dance Collective and Amsterdam Dance Center, and has performed with DOX Utrecht and other independent projects. She trained at Fast Track, ArtEZ and graduated from the Academy for Theatre and Dance Amsterdam.
### SESSIONS
One choreography. Across 3 sessions. One group.
June 2nd Session 1 — Learn it, foundations + first sections
We get into the choreography and start working through it
June 9th Session 2 — Work it, Build + refine
Repeat it, refine it, start to feel where it sits
June 16th Final session — Style it, Full run-through + repetitionThis is the dress rehearsal. Run it with increasing independence and build how you place it.
You stay with one piece long enough for it to actually click.
By the end, you won’t just know parts of the routine.
You’ll be able to perform the full choreography from start to finish.### FORMAT
- Fixed group — once the block starts, that’s the room
- Same choreography across all sessions
- Rehearsal-based structure
This is a choreography block.
Why 3 sessions? You get the time needed to actually get through the choreography.
You come back to the same piece each session — so you can actually style it, not just follow it.
Limited spots. Once the group is set, the block is closed.### WHO IT’S FOR
When you’ve wanted to go deeper into the choreography—but never had the time.
When you’ve missed getting properly into it.
When you want to return to dance—but to something that actually goes somewhere.
When you want to start—and have the space to settle into it.
Intermediate level helps. Openness and enthusiasm matter more.2 attendees
