Meet at kohl’s on west side off red road by the Starbucks. We will depart Friday at 6 pm and drive up to Albuquerque. Please arrive with a full tank of gas. I will have a campsite reserved at the local KOA. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your own lodging.
Saturday will begin the hike at 8 am. We will drop off our vehicles at the tramway and begin our hike there. We will return from the peak hike via the Tramway. The cost of the tramway is $21 one way. Tickets can only be purchased the day before or day of hike for tramway. We can have lunch at the restaurant up at the peak or choose a local spot when we return back to our vehicles.
Sunday we check out no later than 10 am and return home. We can have breakfast at a local spot before driving back if everyone is in agreement.
No dogs on this outing. The tram doesn’t allow them on board unless it’s a service animal.
Participants should be in good physical condition to attend any outing.
Folks with an underlying medical condition should avoid moderate and strenuous outings. Participants who RSVP yes also agree to the Release of Liability statement located under the "What we're about" heading.
For safety reasons we hike together and support each-other as a group/team, with the leader in control. We stop, rest, eat, etc. together. No one will be allowed to hike ahead at any time. If you are unwilling to comply with this please do not sign up. I RESERVE the RIGHT to REMOVE any one from this hike.
