Many people look outside of themselves for the joy that is already inside. I can teach you to find more joy. Do you want more love? To stop letting others control you life? T find your purpose? To transform some aspect of your life? To let go of fear? To learn about mindfulness and meditation? I started meditating over 25 years ago. I also have over 20 years of experience helping people who are struggling with managing their emotional states. They have all used something external to try to get rid of their depression, anxiety and loneliness or other uncomfortable feelings through use of self-destructive means: drugs and alcohol, other people, food, sex, gambling, etc. to fill some void. Often people don't know they are running from something or are completely driven by fear. I have worked in various settings and agencies, as well as independently. I have undergone my own life transformation and work with others to enhance their relationships and overcome emotional challenges. I can help you if you want to boost your self-esteem; find your passion in life; find out what career you want; improve your relationships with your mate, family, friends, and/or children and more. You may want to stop spending all of your energy on other people and do something nice for yourself, but don't know how to set limits, and say "No" to over-extending yourself. Everyone has some area of life they need to improve. I use my life experiences; my meditation experience; my professional experience; my degrees, and psychology to assist others in their transformation. When people become their authentic selves, all of their relationships (including the one they have with themselves) become joyful.
Workshop topics include: Mindfulness. What is Mindfulness, why do I need it and how does it work? AND Find Your Life's Passion: Uncover what has been hidden. Find out what gives you joy. Begin to do what you want to do and not what other people think you "should" be doing.
One more thing: There will be laughter at each Meetup! I guarantee it!
For the first 15 minutes, I will be presenting information on a topic. (Click the last row of the group description on the main page, if you haven't because there is lengthy information of what the group is about). If there is more than one table, we will adjust accordingly. We'll play Careers for sure, as that was a hit tonight. We will also have other games available with our Change Your Life Theme. This gathering is limited to 15 group members. If you RSVP and then are unable to come, that's fine. Please change the RSVP even if it's the same day so we can plan accordingly. FYI: I really like this downtown cafe for the atmosphere and the great food (in my humble opinion). If you are able, please bring a dollar to help cover the monthly Meetup fee. Thanks!
