Sketching on Saturday in Karlsruhe

Not going away for the long weekend? 🇩🇪

If you’re staying in Karlsruhe on October 3rd and feel like spending some time drawing, come join us!

As usual, this is a relaxed sketching meetup where everyone can simply draw, chat and enjoy the process.

This time, I’d also like to share some of my own sketching skills with anyone who is interested. During the meetup, I can give a small, informal sketching workshop covering some basic principles:

• lines and how to use them
• how to capture an object and its “mood”
• simple shapes and forms
• hatching
• how to create volume with light and shadow

This part is completely optional. If you’d rather just sketch on your own, that’s absolutely fine — you can simply join the meetup and draw at your own pace.

We’ll meet inside the library and then go together to a reserved room inside.

✏️ What to bring:
A sketchbook and a pencil — or a pen if you prefer drawing with ink.

Communication will be in English.
