IRAs: The Basics
Details
The Agenda:
6:00 – 6:20 pm — Arrive & Grab a Drink
Get settled, meet your neighbors, find your people.
6:20 – 6:45 pm — IRA Basics: A quick, jargon-free breakdown of what IRAs are, the difference between Traditional and Roth, contribution limits and strategies, how they work in tandem with your 410(k), and why it matters for your future.
6:45 – 7:15 pm — Open Q&A & Group Discussion
This is the real heart of the evening. No question is too basic. Bring what’s been on your mind.
7:15 – 7:30 pm — Open Networking
Keep the conversation going, make some connections, order another round.
What to Expect
A casual, welcoming room of curious Portlanders. A short discussion to get the conversation started — not a lecture. Honest answers and real talk. And genuinely great beer.
What to Bring:
- Yourself and a curious mind
- Your actual financial questions; the ones you’ve been too embarrassed to Google
- A friend who also needs to open an IRA (you know who they are)
No need to bring: laptops, notebooks, or your financial statements. This is a conversation, not a consultation.
Drinks are on you, insight is on us. See you there!
