Find your voice

Find Your Voice is a writing group for anyone in Oxford with a story in them that hasn’t quite made it onto the page yet.

The goal is simple: to help each other write more honestly, and more often. Memoir, fiction, essays, poetry, or something you can’t name yet — all welcome.

We’re hoping to meet writers at every stage. First-timers who’ve never shown anyone their work. Returners picking up an abandoned draft. People who’ve been quietly writing for years without a community around them. No publishing record or creative writing degree required — curiosity is the only entry fee.

At each meeting we’ll do a short prompt-based exercise, share work aloud if you’d like to (never obligatory), and give each other generous, specific feedback — the kind that sends you home wanting to write more, not less. We meet in cafés and pubs around Oxford, usually with something warm in hand.
