Welcome to our Phoenix Hiking Group! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned hiker, this group is all about getting outside, enjoying fresh air, meeting new people, and getting some exercise. We meet up at various hiking trails around the metro area, so it’s perfect for folks new to the area or anyone looking to connect with others who share a love for the outdoors. Let’s hit the trails and have some fun!

Goat Hill via Ranger Trail and Las Lomitas Loop
SouthMountain Parking, 10002 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ, USJoin us for a fun hike at Goat Hill via Ranger Trail and Las Lomitas Loop! This trail is about 5.7 miles long and takes around 3 hours to finish. We will climb about 977 feet, so some parts will feel a little steep, but most of the walk is easy to follow. You will see great views along the way, especially from the top of Goat Hill.

After every hike, we like to grab lunch together at a nearby restaurant. I will let everyone know where we are going after the hike and take a head count so I can make sure the restaurant has enough room for our group. If you know a good place close to the trail, I’m always happy to hear your ideas!
Please bring water, wear good hiking shoes, and feel free to bring trekking poles if you like—they can help on the steeper parts. Try to arrive 15–20 minutes early, because parking can be different each day depending on how many people are on the trails.
