Join us for a beautiful and fun hike to Sunrise Peak using the Andrews-Kinsey Trail! This is a 6.7-mile round trip hike that takes about 3.5 hours to complete. We’ll be walking uphill for a total of 1,079 feet, so it’s a good workout with awesome views!
The trail starts at Adero Canyon Trailhead and takes us through cool desert rocks and plants. It starts off easy, then gets steeper as we go. We’ll stop at a scenic spot just below Sunrise Peak where you can enjoy amazing views of the mountains and valleys. After a short rest, we’ll head up to the top of Sunrise Peak for an even better view!
Important things to know:

  • Please bring water to stay hydrated and wear proper hiking shoes.
  • Trekking poles can help with the uphill parts.
  • Dogs are allowed, but they must be on a leash.
  • Try to arrive 15–20 minutes early because parking can fill up, especially on busy days.
  • For accurate directions, make sure to click on the map in the “Location” section of this event page. Copying the address doesn’t always bring you to the exact spot.

After the hike, we usually grab breakfast together at a nearby restaurant! I’ll let everyone know where we’re going at the end of the hike and take a head count, so I can call ahead to make sure there’s enough space for our group. If you know of a great breakfast spot nearby, feel free to share it—I’m always open to suggestions!
Let’s enjoy the trail, take in the views, and have a fun morning together!
