Ferrara International Women

Ferrara International Women is a friendly, supportive meetup group for women living in or new to Ferrara (and the surrounding areas) who want to connect in English.

We’re mainly an international/expat community, and the focus is on making real connections, sharing experiences, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of living abroad — from navigating Italian life and culture to finding friends, routines, and a sense of belonging. We know what it's like to move abroad and know nobody, have and raise children in an unfamiliar environment far from home, find work in different (and complex!) systems and so much more. You don't have to do it alone. What we all need is some community and some fun!

Whether you’re:

• newly arrived or have been here for years
• a mum or not
• working, studying, or taking time out

you’re very welcome.

Our meetups are relaxed and social — think coffee chats, walks, aperitivo, casual dinners, and family-friendly meetups where possible. Where possible, we organise group trips to events. The aim is simple: to meet other women who “get it” and not feel alone in a new place.
