About Rockathon'26
Rockathon'26 – Tamil Nadu's First AI Hackathon is RocketOne's flagship innovation challenge, designed exclusively for undergraduate engineering students across Tamil Nadu. As a no-code AI hackathon, Rockathon empowers participants to solve real-world challenges by leveraging AI to transform innovative ideas into impactful solutions, without requiring prior coding expertise.
Participants will identify solutions to an industry-inspired problem statement, present their ideas, and shortlisted teams will build a working prototype during the offline finale.

The hackathon provides an opportunity to showcase creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while competing for exciting prizes, gaining industry recognition, and strengthening resumes with a hands-on AI innovation experience.

Guidelines

  • Team Size: 1–4 members.
  • Inter-college teams are allowed.
  • Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
  • Only one member from each team is required to register through the official RocketOne website. During registration, the team representative must provide the details of all team members.

  • Each participant can be a member of only one team.
  • AI tools and open-source technologies may be used unless otherwise specified.
  • All submissions must be original work.

Eligibility

  • Open exclusively to undergraduate engineering students from Tamil Nadu.

Hackathon Format
Pre-requisite

  • Register your team through the official RocketOne website.
  • Form a team consisting of 1–4 members.
  • Problem Statement Release: August 1, 2026 (available on the RocketOne website).
  • A complimentary Prompt Session will be available on the RocketOne dashboard from July 20, 2026 to help participants prepare for the hackathon.

Round 1 – Idea Proposal

  • Teams must choose one problem statement from the list published on the RocketOne website.
  • Submit a Project Presentation (PPT/PDF) outlining the proposed AI solution for the selected problem statement.
  • Submission Deadline: August 8, 2026.

Round 2 – Offline Prototype Development

  • Shortlisted teams will advance to the Grand Finale.
  • Based on the idea submitted in Round 1, teams will be given 2 hours to develop a working prototype.

Rules

  • Plagiarism or copied ideas will result in immediate disqualification.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
  • RocketOne reserves the right to modify the event schedule, timelines, or guidelines if required.
