March Chapter Ride - Smuggler's Run

Don't miss one of the best rides in San Diego County! I can't believe it's been 3 years since we did this? At least that's when it was last on the schedule! This ride takes us through nearly all of the micro-climates in the county - coastal plane, inland valleys, mountains, and desert! An all day ride with lunch and fuel stops, we will head south along the border inland on Old Hwy 80, drop into the desert and take S-2 up to scissors crossing, then up Banner grade into Julian, and back over the mountains to home. This is a 226 mile ride with near 5 hours of seat time. Meet time is 8am in the Starbucks parking lot for a short meeting and safety briefing. Check the weather and be prepared for all temperatures (wear/bring layers). Looking forward to a great day!
