July Chapter Ride - The Coast and Coronado

It's July, let's ride the coast! I know the schedule said an overnight up Hwy 1, but for the 4th year in a row, Hwy 1 is closed to through traffic. I really want to do this ride when we can see ALL of the best views. So, we are going to pivot and enjoy our local coast and save our pennies for next year!
We will meet in the Starbucks parking lot in San Marcos around 8:30 for a KSU at 9. We'll cruise down to San Diego on Hwy 5 to La Jolla and make a stop on Mt Soledad. Then continue down the coast through La Jolla, Sunset Cliffs, around the bay, and over to Coronado for lunch. We will head down the strand and back up the 805 for a special stop at a high end ice cream shop in North Park called "An's Cleaners". After that treat we will return to north county. Don't miss a cool day full of spectacular views, fun roads, and a sweet treat at the end!
