Tech for Good Leeds is a community of like-minded folk who come together to celebrate and discuss tech for good initiatives, organisations, people and projects that aim for positive social, health and environmental impact (even while we’re staying inside!).

This month we welcome 3 fabulous organisations who are striving to make the world a better place, from using virtual reality to help tackle youth loneliness, to matching donated computers with individuals who need them the most to keep them connected during this difficult time.

We'll also be running lightning talks again, so if you would like to talk - message us, tell us about you and what you’re working on.

When entrepreneur, Steph Varley, mixed her passion for tech with her desire to do social good, INC360 was born. Fast forward two months and she was joined by Reema Vadoliya, a colleague from their 9-5's, who has her own experiences of mental health and isolation. Today this Leeds-based social enterprise supports young people who are experiencing isolation and anxiety by connecting them to community events using immersive video.

Digital Access West Yorkshire

Digital access is the ability to fully participate in society. This includes access to tools and technologies, such as the Internet and computers, that allow for full participation.

The current Covid 19 crisis has created greater demand for connectivity. This project aims to help by matching people who have spare machines, with those who require them.
