An Evening of Meaningful Conversation & Poetry
Details
For our second Becoming Circle, I’d like to create an evening around poetry.
First and foremost, as a small homage to Wendell Berry, who passed away recently. His words have a particular way of touching something very quiet and very human in me, and I’d love to spend some time together with his poetry.
If there is a Wendell Berry poem that moves you, you’re warmly invited to bring it along and share it with the group.
And you’re also very welcome to bring any other poem that has touched something within you.
A poem that said something you didn’t even know you needed to hear. Or one that spoke to what was in your heart in a way you didn’t think was possible. One that made you stop. Or wonder. Or see something differently. Or simply feel deeply.
We’ll read, listen, share, and see where the poems take us. No literary expertise needed, and no particular interpretation expected; just curiosity and a willingness to meet each other through words that have meant something to us.
As with the first Becoming Circle, this will be a co-created evening. I’ll bring some poems of my own, but mostly I’m curious to see what we bring into the circle together.
Come as you are. Bring a poem if you have one. And let’s see what wants to emerge. ✨💛
