What we’re about
Our group provides international cuisine dining experiences that are prepared at some of our best authentic locally owned/non-chain restaurants and eateries. There are many international restaurants and eateries in the Eugene/Springfield area and we will attempt to explore and dine and re-dine at many of these establishments. While all enjoy our food experiences, we can have great conversations, develop friendships, discuss dining experiences, and more.
Our aim is to visit up to two fine international restaurants/eateries each month. The dining group will be capped between 10 and 14 people including the organizer for finer intimate dining experience. We will be also visiting food trucks that offer many international cuisines. The food truck events will permit unlimited members/guests participation and normally will happen around/on weekends.
International Experiences centered around vineyards, festivals and food purveyors will be occurring namely on weekends. These events will conducted with carpools to various locations throughout the Willamette Valley, Portland and coastal areas. Members should try to share travel expenses with the owner of the vehicle.
Also, consider joining our Cultural Acitivities Group: https://www.meetup.com/cultural-activities-of-eugene-plus/ . This group will focus on non-international dining events and many fun cultural events occurring in Eugene and surrounding areas.
*Important Note:* When dining, we try to have the host restaurant provide individual checks. Sometimes this does not happen, even when we have arranged separate billing at the time of reservation. Participants should bring cash in case the restuarant will not split the bill.
Annual fee for this group's membership is $7. First month of event attendances is free. One has 30 days after first event to process payment to remain in group. If payment is not received, you will be eliminated from group. $7. payment includes membership in all groups organized by Kurt Preissler. $7 does not include dining, travel, or any material fees associated with the groups hosted.

5th Street Public Market, 296 E 5th Ave, Eugene, OR, USCome join us for an artistic adventure around downtown Eugene on the first friday of each month. We first meet at the 5th Street Eateries located on the second floor of the 5th Street Public Market (We normally take command of a few tables and combine them to make one long. After a quick bite and greet, our group walks about Eugene and explores the many galleries and studios that are offering special First Friday extended hours. Most of us will include The New Zone Galley (the hub of the art crowd and exhibits).
When the artwalk finishes we can all have a drink or extra bite at the top of the Gordon Hotel at Carlitos, SIPs on 5th or any place the group elects to go.
