Hungarian Food Dining Event

International Dining Experiences of Eugene invites you to attend a very special private Hungarian dinner in Albany, Oregon at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 30.

A few us may remember the very well known Hungarian restaurant that flourished in Albany, Oregon for many years named Novak's. The restaurant unfortunately did not survive COVID, and closed. To keep the recipes and food offerings available, the original family members/owners have for the last few years offered dinners by special private invitation only at their beautiful home called Villa Novak. Villa Novak is located just outside Albany and is near historic locations such as the carousel, Linn Couty Court House, the downtown shopping district and more.

This special arrangement, via our friend Margaret Thumel has provided us the very limited opportunity to have a private dinner for 10 individuals at their private residence.

Menu-

Pre dinner appetizers: home made assortment of appetizers served along librations.

Dinner: Chicken Paprikas served along with Spätzle, Hungarian cucumber salad, homemade bread rolls with butter, wine and beer.

Dessert: Novak's famous Chocolate Cream Puffs served with coffee, tea or after dinner drink.

Attendees will enter the Villa Novak residence at 2:00 pm. The attendees will then gather in the Novak's large kitchen where a beverage and the assortment of appetizers will be offered.

Dinner will be promptly served in the formal dining room at 2:30.

Carpooling Information:

Margaret will be driving to the event in her gold Cadillac. She will have room for 4 extra people. I will also have room for one, but I have a young golden retriever that must go where ever I go.
