Calgary Social Dancing Meetup Group

This group was formed to bring together people with a penchant for social partnership dancing. If you'd like to acquire the skills of lead & follow or share your own thoughts on the subject, this group is for you.
So long as you're interested in learning the skill of leading or following in social-dancing to any of the following dances, you should consider joining: salsa, bachata, merengue, country two-step, triple-two/double shuffle, nightclub slow, west coast swing, east coast swing, the hustle, cha cha cha, rumba, jive, samba, waltz, foxtrot, tango.
I'd like to start of with weekly events that will impart information on how to move on the floor and how to lead and follow with the most basic of steps for all the dances mentioned above. As time and skills progress, I'm hoping to go into advanced skills. We can include a bit of time to practice. On a monthly basis, we would have social dance parties.
