Besides presentation and group discussion about the book of the week, our meetup also includes time to guess words, language games, free talking, mingling and socializing. As always, there's no pressure to have finished the book, we're just here for vibes. What is Cryptocurrency and blockchain?

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) represent a form of digital currency that does not rely upon intermediaries like banks to verify transactions. Instead, cryptocurrencies are created and maintained on distributed ledgers, or blockchains.
This democratization of control allows blockchain networks to act far more efficiently than traditional organizations and governments, which employ expensive and time-consuming top-down leadership models.
The greatest advantage of cryptocurrencies is that their transactions are stored on ‘immutable’ blockchains.

Immutable means that something can never be altered. The transactions that enter a blockchain, therefore, can never be altered or tampered with. This makes both double-spending and counterfeiting almost impossible – a regular problem with fiat currencies such as the US dollar.

Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies burst onto the world stage in 2008, when the online posting of a pseudonymous white paper envisioned a new way to transfer value over the internet.1 In the decade-plus since, the crypto asset market has gone through all the classic phases of a disruptive technology: massive bull markets and crushing pullbacks, periods of euphoria and moments of despair, FOMO (fear of missing out), fear, and everything in between Blockchain technology underlies all cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency transactions. Blockchain is a shared, immutable digital ledger, enabling the recording of transactions and the tracking of assets within a business network and providing a single source of truth.
The key benefit of blockchain lies in its ability to provide security, transparency and trust without relying on traditional intermediaries, such as banks or other third parties. Its design reduces the risk of fraud and errors, making it especially valuable in industries where secure transactions are critical, including finance and healthcare. In addition, blockchain helps businesses improve efficiency and reduce costs by streamlining processes and enhancing accountability.

Not at all. If you plan to read or have read it, that’s great; if you haven’t touched it, you’re still more than welcome to join. Come and meet like-minded people and connect over the topic as well as the book.

How can I contribute to the discussion if I haven’t read the book?
The book is simply a conversation starter - our discussions often branch out into related themes, personal experiences and broader topics of interest. Our gathering is more about socialising and engaging in decent conversations with book lovers, rather than a formal seminar.

Can I also discuss my own fav book or the book I recently read?
Absolutely! Our gatherings are all about open conversations, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on any book that’s been captivating to you.

Is this group open to everyone?
Yes - this is a friendly and inclusive group, welcoming everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, or background. The event is designed to make it easy to meet and connect with fellow book lovers in our community.

What if I'm shy about speaking in front of the group?
No pressure! You're welcome to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for you. Whether you share your views or just listen, your presence is valued. A lot of people come alone - so don't be shy!!
This event will be photographed for promotional purposes. By purchasing a ticket you are consenting to the team using these pictures for our social media channels but you are able to withdraw your consent at any time during the event.

Pickleball is a rapidly growing sport that is a mix of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It's easy to learn, fast paced, and tons of fun!
This is a game for people of all ages and skill/experience levels who want to play a friendly and non-competitive pickup frisbee game. We meet every Weekend afternoon in century park as long as weather is okay.
We arrange warm up & practice. We'll work on some throws, passes, & catches. and utimate Frisbee Pickup Game of 7 vs 7 as well.
All levels welcome even beginners! If you haven't played before or want to polish your skills, myself and a couple of the more experienced players will be there 30 minutes before to toss, explain the rules and run through a couple drills. I
We also prepare camping tarp and board games. Let's have fun by playing board games during Frisbee breakup.
Please take metro line 2/7 to Century Park and the venue is entry from gate 6. (go straight 100m and the frisbee lawn is on your right side)
General guidelines: Dress accordingly. Have plenty of water. Sunscreen on a sunny day. Stretch & warm up.
Playing Ultimate is all about good sportsmanship, respect, and gracefulness on the field. Fun & having a good time is a must above anything else.
The Frisbee pickup and board game event are free but donations are always welcomed as we have to pay dues to Meetup to keep this group alive.

飞盘运动是一种老少咸宜的健身项目，
只要有一片空旷的场地就能开心的玩耍。飞盘的参与门槛很低。一身运动服、一双跑鞋、一片飞盘，就是全部的必要装备。
飞盘运动融合了橄榄球、足球、篮球等运动特色是一项无身体碰撞、男女差异小乐趣与竞技兼备的运动对新人友好、上手快、没有裁判不需要运动天赋

WFDF世界飞盘联合会将极限飞盘精神浓缩为“SOTG”图标，即熟知规则、避免身体接触、公平竞争、享受比赛、真诚沟通。独特的精神内核自这项运动诞生之日起，就蕴含其中。
飞盘绝对是让你大汗淋漓的有氧运动，因为比赛场地一般都是一整个足球场，全场人追着一个飞盘跑，享受多巴胺带来的快乐，当然它还可以满足身心愉悦的社交需求，他可以是一个人的快乐，也可以是一群人的快乐。通过飞盘场上队友双方一次又一次的飞盘抛接合作，促进了彼此之间的沟通交流。场上挥洒汗水，场下收获友谊，飞盘运动就是这么一项简单又有趣的社交运动。
燃脂，也是人们热爱大飞盘的一大原因：飞盘是一项特别好的有氧和无氧相结合的运动，一场飞盘下来就能消耗900多大卡。投接飞盘的手法千变万化。
