Going Fishin' and hangout at Nichols Reservoir (below Rampart Reservoir).

Bring the kids, family and/or friends for a morning of fishing at Nichols. If you are 16 or over and fish, you will need an annual license or day fish license. You can use artificial bait, flies and lures. I usually have good luck here - so it is a great place to teach kids. Look for my Red Jeep Liberty.

It is a .08 mile hike from the main parking lot at Rampart down to Nichols. Maybe bring with you - some snacks and water to drink. Don't forget your sunscreen and dress in layers.

You may want to carpool with others, as admission is $10.00 per vehicle to get into Rampart - cash or check. We will cross the dam and meet in the parking lot near the trailhead. I will be hiking down the trail to Nichols by 9a.m.

Flotation devices like belly boats, kayaks and SUP's are allowed at Rampart Reservoir, but not at Nichols.
