  • Quantum Thinking: Physics, Consciousness and the Supernatural

Quantum Thinking: Physics, Consciousness and the Supernatural

MOB Coworking - Bailèn, C/ de Bailèn 11, bajos, 08010, Barcelona, ES

What if the most useful tools for navigating our future world aren't from business schools or consultancies, but drawn from quantum physics, metaphysics and extra-dimensional sources?

Tickets must be purchased in advance via LUMA - from 9 Euros.

There’s no doubt that we are living through a period of profound disruption to humanity. From rapidly changing geopolitics to AI, we can often find ourselves confused or concerned with the implications and our own survival. With so much uncertainty and change, how do we stay grounded to make decisions that move us toward better outcomes?

In this Growth Lab LIVE session, designer, futurist and author, Phil Balagtas explores how engaging with these questions can expand our thinking and unlock an alternate ambitious and optimistic approach for how to think about the future.

Advancing research on consciousness, quantum physics and non-human intelligence have quietly influenced how scientists, researchers, technologists and futurists are thinking about and understanding the world around us.

They’re shaping the newest technologies on the horizon and awakening us to possibilities that are beyond anything we can imagine.
In this session, we’ll draw on these theories to provide new inspiration for ways to navigate uncertainty and the rapidly changing reality we are witnessing.

Ultimately, we’ll offer a new perspective that can help us imagine and work toward more preferable futures for our businesses, communities and ourselves.

    We'll explore:
    • What are some basic foundations about quantum physics and how its being used today to advance computing
    • How consciousness and our perceptions of reality can be shifted based on quantum principles
    • The strange and beautiful phenomena that is being documented and disclosed that could potentially shape a future where humans are not the most intelligent species on the planet

  • The Psychology of Burnout and Stress

The Psychology of Burnout and Stress

The Cover Club at the Sir Victor Hotel, Carrer Rosselló 265,, Barcelona, ES

The mornings that get harder, the things that used to excite you that now feel hollow, the sense that you're running on empty but somehow still running. By the time most people recognise it, burnout has already been building for months.

In this Growth Lab LIVE workshop session, Professor Joaquim T. Limonero takes a scientific look at what's actually happening, both psychologically and physically, when stress stops being useful and starts becoming harmful.

Tickets must be purchased via LUMA - from 10 euros.

Drawing on health psychology and emotional regulation research, we'll explore why your nervous system responds to a difficult email the same way it once responded to a predator, how the stories you tell yourself about pressure shape your experience of it, and why some people seem to absorb stress while others accumulate it.

This isn't about telling you to sleep more and drink less coffee. It's about understanding the real mechanics of stress — so that when you feel it building, you know what's happening, and you actually have somewhere to go with it.

    ## What You'll Take Away

    1. Stress isn't the enemy — your relationship with it is Learn to distinguish between productive stress that sharpens your focus and toxic stress that quietly depletes you. The difference isn't always the situation — it's the meaning you assign to it.
    2. You have more control over your stress response than you think Cognitive appraisal — how you interpret a situation — is one of the most powerful levers you have. We'll look at practical ways to shift your internal narrative before the stress response takes hold.
    3. Burnout is a psychological signal, not a personal failure Understanding why some people are more vulnerable to burnout changes the conversation entirely. It's not about weakness or laziness — it's about patterns, history, and what we've learned to believe about our own worth under pressure.
    4. Emotional regulation is a skill, and most of us were never taught it There's a big difference between suppressing how you feel and actually processing it. We'll explore regulation strategies that build genuine resilience — not just the appearance of coping.
    5. Recovery is an active process Rest alone doesn't reverse burnout. We'll look at what psychological recovery actually requires, and how to build it into real life — not just in theory.

He also serves as editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Ansiedad y Estrés.

  • The Algorithmic Orchestra: How AI Conducts Human Emotion

The Algorithmic Orchestra: How AI Conducts Human Emotion

MOB Coworking - Bailèn, C/ de Bailèn 11, bajos, 08010, Barcelona, ES

Music has always shaped human emotion. Long before streaming platforms, people understood that music could influence the way we feel, think, and interpret the world. What is new is the scale, speed and precision with which artificial intelligence is beginning to intervene in that relationship.

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED HERE VIA LUMA - FROM 9 EUROS

In this Growth Lab LIVE session, hosted by composer and AI educator Rafel Jaume I Venys, we explore how AI-driven systems, from recommendation engines to generative music platforms, are learning to analyse emotional patterns, predict responses and create feedback loops in which feeling becomes data, and data becomes influence.

As these systems become more sophisticated, music is no longer just something we choose or consume. It is increasingly something shaped around us indvidually, designed to hold attention, steer mood and optimise emotional response.

Drawing on the myth of Orpheus, this session examines the rise of an algorithmic orchestra: a new technological force capable of conducting human emotion without ever experiencing it. The question is no longer whether AI can compose music, but what it means to live in a world where the systems shaping our inner lives may understand our responses better than we do ourselves.

    About the speaker:

Rafel Jaume i Venys is a composer, philosopher, and educator working at the crossroads of music, AI, and ethics. He’s the founder of CAIRAI, a consultancy focused on AI, education, and social impact, and lectures at several universities. His work bridges critical thinking and creative practice, helping individuals and organizations harness AI in ways that are both innovative and humane.
