Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival

The Winter Kite Festival is a beautiful festival that fills the sky with colorful kites, offers winter activities for all, delicious local food trucks, free s’mores by the fire to warm up throughout the day, and Art Shanty Projects.

This is a free event.

You are encouraged to bring a kite to fly if you want to or just come to watch others flying their kites. There will also be vendors there if you want to buy a kite there.

In the past there has been a free shuttle to help ease traffic congestion for these joint events. The shuttle departs from the Executive Building parking lot on the west side of Bde Maka Ska (3033 Excelsior Blvd, Mpls). It has not been announced yet, but I will keep my eye on it and post if this is going to be the case this year.
