What we’re about

The Universe's energy flows strongest near the ocean. Join me at this beachside location where the gentle, healing properties of the sea, air and water are most strong and can assist us on our journey of self-compassion. "Self-compassion is simply giving the same kindness to ourselves that we would give to others." - Christopher Germer. Sounds easy enough: but, how many of us actually practice this? When a friend, life-partner, child is suffering in some way; what do you say or do to comfort them? Most likely, you say something kind, warm, soft, reassuring...maybe just a gentle touch, an empathic nod. Are you as kind, gentle and compassionate with yourself in the same scenario or does your self-talk become harsh, critical and judgmental? If it does, this group is for you! We are our worst critics!

This workshop series will discuss:

3 elements of compassion:

-self kindness vs. self judgment
-common humanity vs. isolation
-mindfulness vs. over-identification
The myths of self-compassion.
