This event is the perfect opportunity to meet new people, make lasting connections, and simply enjoy good company. Whether you're looking to expand your social circle, rekindle old friendships, or just have a great time, you're invited!

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, we like to host our event outdoors! Of course, if the weather doesn't cooperate on the day, we'll simply move the fun to an alternative venue indoors closer to the date it takes place.

There are no strict attendance criteria and everyone is welcome. The crowd is typically diverse, with most attendees ranging in age from 25 to 45. Whether you're looking to network, make new friends, or just have a great time, this event provides the perfect opportunity to do so.

• Event location may be changed if weather is not pleasant.
• No space is reserved at the venue.
• There is no set time for members to arrive and/or leave this event.
• Repeated no-shows or instances of gatecrashing may result in removal from future group events.
• If you require reasonable adjustments, please inform the event organiser in advance.

Once the host has arrived, the location of where we are located will be shared in the comments. From then on, we will socialise throughout the night, until the event comes to a close.

If the event changes venue due to the weather, this will be shared in the comments, as well as updated in the event description, the morning of the event.

Here are the answers to the most common asked questions relating to this event:

I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me? 😨
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious. The good news is you won't be alone as we always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. Our advice is to give it shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.

How will I find you? 🧐
Once the organiser arrives, they will share in the comments roughly where we are located, with a description of what they are wearing. If the venue has table numbers, we will also mention them.

Does getting to this venue involve walking in the dark?
As the evening winds down and darkness falls, please be aware that the walk back will take at least 5 minutes in the dark. If you'd prefer not to walk alone in the dark, the organiser will be heading back towards Oxford city centre from 10 PM and welcomes anyone who would like to join him. Please let Kevin know if you would like this.

We live in Britain! Surely it's going to rain? ☔
If this turns out to be the case, an alternative venue, with an indoor area, will be used instead.

Is this a dating event? 👩‍❤️‍👨
While we understand that relationships naturally form in social settings, the primary goal of this event is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone to socialise and have fun. Therefore, it is important to remember that not every attendee is looking for a relationship and if your only reason for attending is to find a date, this will unlikely be the right event for you.

Do I have to drink alcohol? 🍻
There are no conditions to what you choose to drink, with some main organisers being non-alcoholic drinkers.

Are reasonable adjustments considered for members with a disability? 🧑🏻‍🦽
We will always do our best to make things as convenient as possible for members who require reasonable adjustments. However, so we can try and have your needs met, we would appreciate it if you informed us in advance.

Can I bring additional people with me? 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽
Yes you can, but please put them as +1 in your check-in so we can try and find us enough space.

Will we be off to dance after the event? 💃🏽
If going out to dance is what you're looking for, you unfortunately won't see this arranged by the event organisers. However, members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

Group Rules 📝
These are the policies in place for the group:

1) Be respectful of others 🙏🏼
You'll encounter diverse individuals, some of whom you may not connect with immediately. Instead of arguing, acknowledge your differences. Refrain from harassing members, whether in person or on social media, outside of events.

2) Appreciate what the organisers do ❤️
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you do.

3) Have a valid photo of yourself in your profile 🤳🏾
There have been multiple occasions where members have received inappropriate messages, all from members without photos. To help prevent this from happening, we ask all members to provide a photo of themselves.

4) Update your attending status correctly. ✅
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can negatively impact the event. Excessive absences and/or gatecrashing events, without valid reasons, will lead to removal from the group.

5) Do not take control of events hosted. 🤐
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

6) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission 🙅🏻
Whilst we are happy to see additional events, they must apply to the group's structure. If you want to advertise any of your events, contact Kevin.
