What to expect: 🤔
Get ready for a delightful after-work social event at G&D's! This gathering is the perfect opportunity to unwind, socialize, and make new friends in a relaxed atmosphere. While indulging in G&D's delicious offerings is certainly an option, buying food is completely up to you – the main goal is to connect and enjoy good company. Come ready to chat, laugh, and perhaps discover your new favorite dessert!

Important Information: ⚠️

• No space is reserved, so members will have to contribute to finding seats
• Repeated no-shows or instances of gatecrashing may result in removal from future group events
• Guests must be aged 18 or over
• If you require reasonable adjustments, please inform the event organiser in advance

The plan: 💪🏻
On arrival, the organiser will share where they are located in the venue. As members arrive, they will have the option of ordering their desserts, or if preferred, just socialising until the event comes to an end at 9 PM.

Here are the most common asked questions asked relating to this event:

I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me? 😨
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious. The good news is we always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. Our advice is to give it shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.

How will I find you? 🧐
Once the organiser arrives, they will share in the comments roughly where they are located, with a description of what they are wearing. If the venue has table numbers, these will also be mentioned.

What is G&D's? 🤷‍♀️
G&D's is a locally founded Ice Cream Cafe, specialising in quality, natural, homemade ice cream, bagels and more. Further information can be found here.

Do I have to purchase food? 💰
With the prime focus of the event being to socialise, this is completely optional.

What will we do if there aren't enough tables? 😱
If this does occur, the city has a variety of alternative café's/pubs/diners that we can attend instead.

Can I bring additional people with me? 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽
Yes you can, but please put them as +1 in your check-in so we have an accurate idea on how much space is required.

These are the policies in place for the group:

1) Be respectful of others 🙏🏼
You'll encounter diverse individuals, some of whom you may not connect with immediately. Instead of arguing, acknowledge your differences. Refrain from harassing members, whether in person or on social media, outside of events.

2) Appreciate what the organisers do ❤️
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you do.

3) Have a valid photo of yourself in your profile 🤳🏾
There have been multiple occasions where members have received inappropriate messages, all from members without photos. To help prevent this from happening, we ask all members to provide a photo of themselves.

4) Update your attending status correctly ✅
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can negatively impact the event. Excessive absences and/or gatecrashing events, without valid reasons, will lead to removal from the group.

5) Do not take control of events hosted 🙅🏻
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

6) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission 🤐
