Free hiking, walking, stroll and cycling parties around NY, NJ and CT.
There is no age limit.
We encourage everyone to be polite and refrain from discussing politics.
All events are free.
If you want you can join us only for one country.
Dear verticals, it's time to do an international trip we chose last year. Beautiful Brazil and Peru are waiting for us.
This is a 12 days 11 nights trip.
Keep in mind that in Peru we will go hiking for two to three non-consecutive days.
If you're not the hiker please let us know ahead of time.
In Brazil and Peru in most places we will have local tour guides.
We are not a travel agency and you will have to pay for your own travel, however we can help you with advice on flights and accommodation.
Most of us will depart from New York City.

**** TIPS ****
We are going to organize a zoom call once we will have enough people to look for hotels.
We highly recommend booking your tickets and hotels ahead of time.
Budget is limited by the comfort level you need.
If you would like to share the hotel booking please don't forget to collect/transfer the money in advance (we suggest you meet in person before).
Please be ready to wake up at 6-7 AM.
Consider your strength as each day we will walk about 8-12 miles every day in Brazil and 10-16 miles every day in Peru.
Money collected is not refundable (unless you will find someone to replace your booking).
Organizers are not liable for any damages so please take this into account before you transfer the money to someone.

Dear verticals, it's time to try something new.
This time we will visit one of the largest waterfalls in Hudson Valley - High Falls that slides 120 feet down a plane of granite.
After that we will hike through beautiful Mohonk Preserve (Please note that entrance fees to the park may apply).
We will pass historical landmarks, ponds and rivers and end up in New Paltz.
This is not a loop hike!
After the hike we might have dinner in one of the famous Tibetan restaurants.May 10 (Saturday)

Elevation: 1600 ft.
Distance: about 13 miles (please keep this into consideration as this hike is NOT for rookies).
We highly suggest you buy all tickets in advance (Port Authority to Rosendale, NY and New Paltz, NY to Port Authority).
Hiking shoes are highly suggested.
Please bring the food and enough water for a half day as we will not stop for food during the hike.

Dear North American mammals, it's time for another gorgeous hike.
This time we will conquer the Cold spring.
We will hike all the way from Cold Spring to Beacon via Cornish Estate and Breakneck Ridge trails.
We will pass beautiful lakes, creeks and mountain tops.
Please note, that this is not a loop hike!

We will have numerous stops and possibly visit the lake.

Total distance: about 35 miles from Poughkeepsie station or 12 miles from Taconic Hereford State Park parking.
Please bring enough water and food for a day.
Some might drive to the Taconic Hereford directly, so ask in group if they have space for you and your bike.
