Cold Spring Free Hike

Only heavy rain can stop us!

Dear North American mammals, it's time for another gorgeous hike.
This time we will conquer the Cold spring.
We will hike all the way from Cold Spring to Beacon via Cornish Estate and Breakneck Ridge trails.
We will pass beautiful lakes, creeks and mountain tops.
Please note, that this is not a loop hike!
After the hike we will have dinner in one of the restaurants in Beacon.

May 11 (Sunday)
You can meet the group at 2 points:
1st meeting point: 8:20 AM
at the center of Grand Central Terminal. Look for a round information kiosk. (89 E 42nd St, New York, NY)

Detailed plan:
08:20 AM - Meeting at center of Grand Central Terminal (look for a round information kiosk).
08:50 AM - Departure from Grand Central to Cold Spring.
10:14 AM - Arriving at Cold Spring station.
10:25 AM - Meeting rest of the group in front of Lewis & Pine (38 Main St, Cold Spring, NY)
11:00 AM - Entering the trail.
01:15 PM - Lunch at the park.
01:45 PM - Continue hiking.
04:20 PM - Reaching the Beacon.
04:45 PM - Diner at the Beacon.
05:45 PM - Heading to Beacon station.
06:09 PM - Taking the train back to Grand Central from Beacon station.
07:55 PM - Arriving at Grand Central.

***USEFUL INFO***
Total distance about 11 miles
Total elevation 2087 ft. (please keep this into consideration as this hike is NOT for rookies)
We highly suggest you buy all tickets in advance (Grand-Central to Cold Spring and Beacon to Grand central)
Hiking shoes are highly suggested.
Please bring the food and enough water for a half day as we will not stop for food during the hike
Some of us might drive so don't hesitate to ask the group for the pick up
