What we’re about
If you are looking for a casual place to hang out and play and sing songs on Ukulele, come on down to the Toronto Ukulele Meetup! Associated with the Toronto Guitar School, an inviting and professional environment is provided for people to play a little music and meet new friends.
The Toronto Ukulele Meetup is a group designed for people who at least know the basic Ukulele chords and have a little rhythm to come play popular Ukulele songs (and other songs upon request) with fellow Ukulele enthusiasts.
It all happens at 116 Bond Street at the Toronto Guitar School. The school supplies charts for songs, but if you don't know how to read music, don't worry! We will have instructors from the school on hand to assist people in learning songs while guiding the ensemble through the music.
You can even borrow one of our many Ukuleles when you arrive. We have a wide assortment of soprano and concert Ukuleles. We even have baritone and bass Ukuleles, and Banjoleles for those feeling adventurous.

ABOUT OUR UKULELE JAMS
Our Ukulele Jams happen at the Toronto Guitar School's main downtown location at 116 Bond Street in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant music scene. Our jams are held in the main hall of one of Toronto's oldest churches with beautiful acoustics. It's the perfect place to come together, meet new friends and play.
Our Ukulele Jams are all about community and creativity —whether you’re looking to connect with other players or just have a good time making music. We only charge a nominal fee of $10 to cover the cost of the space and instructors.
If you’re new to our Ukulele Jams please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can get to know your skill level and musical preferences. We’ll match you with other ukulele players who share similar interests and depending on the size of the group break it into sections to account for varying skill levels..
INSTRUCTOR INVOLVEMENT
The jam is meant to be informal and fun. Instructors will be present to offer guidance or advice if needed, but it’s all about jamming and collaborating with other musicians. We provide music charts for ukulele players to make it easy to join in and follow along, and we’re always updating our Ukulele song book. If there’s a tune you’d love to play, let us know!
