Welcome back to the reboot of Korean/English meetup!
For new members, this meetup was started in 2019 and used to be the largest Korean/English meetup in Melbourne! It is now returned after almost 2.5 years! During our glorious times prior to COVID, we had 50++ participants turning up every week for this event. Initially, this meetup started as a small language/culture exchange, aiming to narrow the language/cultural gap between Koreans (who recently come to Melbourne) and the local Melbournians. It was later transitioned into a larger social gathering for everyone.
Who should come?
• Anyone who is genuinely interested in anything Korean (Kpop, Kdrama, Korean reality shows, Korean foods, culture, languages, etc.)
• Anyone who simply want to meet like-minded new friends.
• Anyone who speaks any levels of Korean
• Koreans who speak any levels of English (The Founder encourages you to join regardless of your English level)
What do we do?
• "Just come, chill and have fun! No obligation to stay, come and go as you please." said by Founder of this meetup.
Rules:
• There is only one rule, one word. RESPECT.
There’s nothing to prepare or bring but we do try and provide a safe and inclusive environment.
We look forward to meeting new and old members! As usual, come with an open mind and enjoy your time!
