Liberal Ladies Who Lunch

Come out to support the Jbj mission and the food insecure by having lunch at JBJ’s PopUp at the Ocean county library (where Dunkin’ Donuts was) on 101 Washington Street.

I haven’t seen lunch menus for the pop-up on their website yet. My understanding is that we would be able to get sandwiches and possibly salads. I think we have to be ready to play by ear.

You can get menus for the Red bank or Toms River sit down locations. Lunch is suggested you leave $12 for your lunch at the popup You are encouraged to consider leaving a meal for someone else. For instance, when I go to JBJ in toms River, I generally leave $40… $20 for my lunch and $20 for someone else.

I believe there will be a spot to sit inside and if not, we’ll have to commandeer a bench or two. Hopefully by May 1, it will be warm enough for that.

Let’s head down towards ther beach before Memorial Day hits! The Food Shack was suggested by Dolores, and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Indoor & Outdoor Dining with a View

The food shack opens back up for the season the week before our visit so it should give them plenty of time to get the bugs out.

They have sandwiches, wraps, salads, and a couple of things from the fryer as well. Lunch is served from 1130 till two. I see a fresh fish sandwich that I’ve got my eye on the menu.
