Lib Ladies Lunching @ Brooklyn Bistro

Since it is still summer, we’re going to stay away from the beach as we had discussed before

The Brooklyn bistro is a nice little Italian place in Toms River. They have a lovely set of lunch specials. Sandwich specials are $15, plate specials like pastas are $19.95 and include appetizer, meal, a small selection of desserts, and for beverages, coffee and tea only are included. They do have other beverages and further it is BYOB if you’d like to bring something.

I found the restaurant to be very friendly and very accommodating. They said you could exchange proteins, and in my case, I wanted to add a protein which they were completely willing to do and there was a very small up charge to add shrimp to my pasta. I also chose to upgrade my dessert from ice cream or cannoli to a New York cheesecake for an additional three dollars. It was a bargain. It was not the heavy New York cheesecake but the lighter version and it was so good!

Because it was not crowded at lunchtime I am not gonna set any limit. Feel free to bring a friend if you would like. Please just keep your RSVP up-to-date so I can give the restaurant a true headcount a couple days before. As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call me.
