What we’re about
How do you eat before the invention of the grocery store? How do you survive without global inter-reliance on others? How much do you actually need to live comfortably, and of what? What have we gained by removing ourselves from the immediate ecosystem, and what has been lost?
This group is focused on understanding how nature can sustain you and how you can, in return, do good for nature. We can work on hard survival skills like making stone tools, primitive fire starting techniques, shelters that are waterproof and warm, getting clean water, or edible and medicinal plants. And soft ones, like purifying and firing clay taken from the soil, basketweaving, making paints and pigments. And ones of awareness, like tracking, developing the 5 senses til they're so effective the combination is almost an intuitive 6th, and stealth movement (want to sneak up on and touch a deer?)
People of all skill levels welcome, but let me know if you have any experience when you RSVP to an event.
