Pastured Broiler Workshop

$95 / person ($45 for second person) On farm coffee, breakfast sandwich & lunch will be provided. Alkaline water and small selection of clean sodas will be available. You’ll also take home a whole processed and packaged chicken (that you processed if you like).

>8am - 9am - Optional -
On Farm Breakfast (sausage & egg sandwiches), coffee, & conversation while we set up. Probably catch & load the broilers (Non Structured) Note: Were a sugar free family so if you like fancy creamer that’s probably killing you then bring it with you. Strong Coffee, local half and half or heavy cream will be provided.

>9am - 10am -
-Greeting / introduction / Goal for the day discussion, sign your not gonna sue me papers.

• Catch the broilers if we haven’t already
  Pasture walk with housing discussion
  Breed conversation.
  Walk through of the set up, define who wants to observe and who wants to be hands on.

>10am - 12pm -

• We’ll cover and demonstrate multiple dispatch methods.
  Observe farm staff run through a batch of 5 or so birds to get a feel for the process. Dispatch to cooling tank.

>12pm - 1pm - On Farm Provided Lunch. It will be something we raise here but definitely not chicken. My wife’s a great cook you’ll be happy I promise. If you any allergies please let us know during introduction and we’ll accommodate as well as we can. If you have life threatening allergies please bring your own food and we’ll credit you some money back for lunch.

>1pm - 3pm - Continue Processing - -Opportunity for hands on processing of your own bird.
Hopefully - Packaging / Breaking down a whole bird into standard cuts
Clean up

>3pm - 5pm - Hopefully we’ll be done before this late but we want everyone to go home feeling like they can do this so we’ll run till 5 if necessary.
