Honoring our Veterans while Dragon Boating
Details
Adaptive Fusion is proud to have five team members who served in the US military. Since Veterans Day is coming up, we wanted to take a minute or two after practice to say "Thank You for your service" and to share a little of their experience. Then afterwards, we will take those veterans out to lunch!
Are you a veteran? Do you know someone who served? Please come out to this special combo experience of learning to dragon boat and honoring those who served our country.
If so inclined, dress in red, white and blue.
You're invited to try out the great sport of dragon boating. These large canoes hold up to 20 people and have a steersperson and a caller. You sit two on a bench, facing forward, and paddle on one side.
This exciting paddling experience is open to people of all abilities.
Our experienced instructors will provide guidance and support, ensuring everyone can participate and enjoy the benefits of this exhilarating sport.
Don't miss this opportunity and see if you get "bit" by the dragon. If you do, this sport features racing competitions, ranging from local to international levels.
Yes, our team, Adaptive Fusion, has a General Manager who is blind, a Team Captain who is Deaf, and others with PTSD, or are amputees or have other disabilities, plus other paddlers who don't. We welcome all!
