ANFT Forest Bathing Walk and Guest Facilitator Tea Ceremony
Details
🍃Come join us at a different area of the park each month on a relaxing certified ANFT guided forest bathing walk and tea ceremony. Guest tea ceremony facilitator, Leana Bulay, a Ranger with the San Dieguito River Park, will discuss the medicinal properties and spiritual symbolism of thoughtfully gathered or grown local plants.
Our forest bathing portion will include a series of guided invitations and prompts, where we invite you to slow down, connect with your senses, and cultivate a deeper relationship with the natural world. Studies demonstrate that forest bathing may aid in stress reduction through decreased cortisol levels, lower blood pressure, etc. Phytoncides, released by trees have been shown to boost our NK cells and immune system. Time spent in nature may help reduce anxiety, restore attention fatigue, and stimulate creative thinking.
Prepared tea and cups will be provided at the end of the experience. However, please bring your own water in case you become thirsty during our walk. Restrooms on-site.
This is a slow, intentional, mindful experience—no hiking, no rush, no worries. Join us to renew and reset in nature.🍂
