Cultivating Kindness

Details

Amongst all the hopes and aspirations we have for our children is raising them to be kind and caring people - not always an easy task in today’s materially driven and competitive world. So how do we do it? How can we nurture the development of their internal moral compass and help them contribute to their own well-being and that of those around them?

Join an afternoon conversation where we will examine from a spiritual perspective the importance and the power of kindness. Using Bahá’í teachings, together we will explore how to move beyond kindness in words alone, what the influence of our own words and actions (or lack of actions) has upon our children, and how laying a spiritual foundation in them of kindness and caring for others helps promote the advancement and happiness of us all.

This group welcomes diverse beliefs and backgrounds. Our hope is that through these meaningful conversations we will gain new insights and perspectives that will benefit our families and our communities.

“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.” – Bahá’í Teachings

*Childcare will be provided.
