Sancocho is a popular stew found throughout several Latin American and Caribbean countries, including both Puerto Rico and Panama. While it's not exclusively Puerto Rican or Panamanian, it is considered a national dish in Panama and is also well-known in Puerto Rico. Each country has its own variations and preferred ingredients, but the core concept of a hearty stew with meat and vegetables remains consistent.
