OpenClaw Silicon Valley — Monthly Operators Meetup
Wednesday, May 20th | 6:00-7:00 PM | Menlo Park
This month: The five-dimension framework for choosing the right AI model for your business use case
Every operator deploying agents faces the same question: which model, where, for what cost, with what security posture, and what maintenance burden? Most get one or two dimensions right and discover the trade-offs six months later.
We'll work through a framework covering five factors that determine whether a deployment succeeds or becomes a liability: cost per task, security and compliance fit, deployment friction, ongoing maintenance burden, and capability fit for the actual use case. Real examples from production: where teams weighted wrong, what broke, and how they corrected.
Format: 15-minute framework walkthrough, structured discussion around member use cases, open floor for specific deployment decisions attendees are actively evaluating.
Who should attend:
- Business owners and operators at companies in the $2M-$500M revenue range deploying or evaluating AI agents
- Consultants and technical founders building for clients in that range
- Technology leaders and CTOs making model selection decisions for their teams
Ground rules: No vendor pitches. No demos as sales. What's shared in the room stays in the room.
Assumed background: Attendees are familiar with AI agent concepts (OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent frameworks) and have either deployed or are actively evaluating agent-based automation. If you're still exploring what AI agents are or whether you should be using them, YouTube tutorials are better starting points. We'd love to see you at a future meetup once you're further along.
