What we’re about
Welcome to Boozy Book Club — the Bronx reading crew known for great books, great people, and occasionally unhinged reactions to plot twists (all part of the charm).
We meet once a month, and every month has its own themed reading vibe — anything from twisty thrillers to character-driven tearjerkers to cozy, feel-good fiction. Members nominate books that fit the theme, we vote together, and the winner becomes our next pick.
Over time, we’ve discovered some all-time club favorites — the kind of books that sparked huge discussions and big love:
✨ The God of the Woods (a standout hit)
✨ The Women (powerful, emotional, universally loved)
✨ Family Lore (vivid, warm, unforgettable)
✨ The Frozen River (everyone was hooked)
✨ Rock Paper Scissors (peak thriller chaos — and we ate it up)
📍 Where We Meet
- 🏈 During football season: We settle into the Kingsbridge Library for a cozy, quiet discussion space. @1pm
- 🍔 The rest of the year: We’re at Bronx Alehouse, our home base for books, beers, burgers, and big opinions.
All ages welcome. No pressure to finish the book (life happens). Just a joyful, low-stress gathering for readers who love stories — and love talking about them.
Grab a seat, grab a drink, and get ready to chat.
You’re in good company here. 📚✨
