About us

Shirlington Running Club (SRC) is a FREE 501(c)7 club for anyone interested in walking, jogging, and running followed by a social happy hour. Here you will meet new friends in a great social environment with a club that is dedicated to supporting local community activities.

We meet at Dudley's Sport & Ale (dudleyssportandale.com) located in the Village at Shirlington. You can find us out back near Shirlington Animal Hospital before and after the run, every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. We have both a winter out and back route and we also have a spring/summer/fall 5K loop, followed by our famous Happy Hour! Our continuously growing group refreshes afterwards with members only drink and food specials.

Founded in 2009 with well more than 75,000 miles run, SRC is now incorporated and has achieved 501(c)7 status. All are welcome from the walkers, joggers, runners, and even the elite marathoner. All ages, two and four legs, DC Metro area residents and visitors. Enjoy a great work-out and meet new people with like interests.

Every Tuesday night, rain or shine! For more information visit us on Facebook at
Shirlington Running Club (The SRC) | Facebook.

Jeanie Dean Park, 3630 27th St S, Arlington, VA, US

We’re seeking experienced volunteers to help make our 4th annual TAMF 5K a fantastic event!

SRC members, The Alex Manfull Fund needs dependable volunteers with some race experience (as participants or volunteers) to help us make this year’s event another success. It’s happening on June 13 at Jennie Dean Park in Arlington, which is just a short walk from our home base at Dudley’s.

If you can lend a hand with setting up and taking down the tents, putting up signs along the course, helping out at the tables, getting the medals ready, or setting out refreshments after the race, we’d be thrilled to have you! Having volunteered at a race before is a plus, but it’s not a must. Just bring your enthusiasm for supporting a great cause.

Arrival time: Set up kicks off at 6am on June 13, 2026, so please plan to arrive early. (If you were planning to get in an early run, wear your sneakers and we can send you out to tasks along the course😜👟)

Duration: About 3 hours. The race starts at 8am and most participants will finish by 9am so we can start picking up signs along the course and letting folks go as activities wind down. We’ll need fewer people for breakdown since the TAMF folks will be able to help. If you can stay longer just let me know.

Volunteer Check-in: Meet along the outfield of the Jennie Dean baseball field (near the Tennis Courts).
