Canadice Lake is the smallest of the Finger Lakes. It serves as the drinking water supply for Rochester. It is uninhabited by people, quiet and peaceful. Only very small boats, kayaks, and paddle boards are allowed. It is a great place to learn to kayak or paddle board as it’s so calm. Camping and swimming are prohibited.
Our itinerary:
10:00am- Arrive and park at 6773 Canadice Lake Rd and get fitted for bike if renting.
10:15- Head south on bikes and go around lake clockwise red line on map
11:00 - Arrive at hike location and follow trail up the ridge to glen and waterfall
12:00 - Return from hike and bike to Canadice Lake Outfitter Launch location
12:15 - Eat Lunch lakeside
1:00 - Kayak
3:00 - Bike back to starting location.
-total bike- 7 miles, paved on 2 long sides of the lake. Gravel on the other 2. Only small hills. Not too strenuous.
$40 if renting kayak and bike
$26 if renting only a kayak
