What we’re about
We are the Madrid chapter of Democrats Abroad, the official arm of the Democratic Party for Americans living outside the U.S. With the 2026 midterm elections on the horizon, our work to protect democracy and progressive values is more important than ever.
Our Mission is Simple:
✅ Help U.S. citizens abroad register to vote and request their absentee ballots
✅ Mobilize the overseas vote to defend democracy and elect Democrats
✅ Build a vibrant community of engaged Americans in Madrid
Whether you've been here for years or just arrived, you have a role to play. Your vote from abroad can be the margin of victory in critical races across the U.S. and we’re here to make sure it counts.

Retiro Park near the Ángel Caído gateBring a blanket, a dish to share, something to drink, and enjoy an afternoon of food, games, and community. We'll be in the shade to the left when you enter the park through the Ángel Caído gate.
Please note that if the Retiro Park is closed due to wind or heat, we'll plan to be at Templo de Debod. If it rains, the event will be cancelled.
If you can make it, please RSVP for the Picnic - it's a big help with our organizational efforts.
