I joined Meetup to meet new people and build meaningful connections. By running this event, I get to do something I love; reading and sharing thoughts about books, while hopefully making new friends with like-minded people. It’s a chance to create a welcoming space where connection and conversation.

Agenda
1. Welcome & Introduction (5–7 min)- Overview of the event format
2. Speed-Dating Rounds (40–50 min)
- Participants rotate through breakout rooms (5–7 minutes per round)
- Suggested conversation prompts:
- “What did you enjoy or not enjoy about the book?”
- “What kinds of books do you usually read?”
- “If you could recommend one book (or story) to a stranger, what would it be?”
3. Closing & Next Steps (5 min)
- Fill out a follow-up form to indicate who you’d like to connect with again
