A Good Read & a Better Chat – January

Join us at the long table near the children’s section for a relaxed, lively conversation sparked by books we’ve been reading.

This isn’t a “we all read the same book” book club. Instead, members share insights from a book they’ve read and we dive as deeply into the ideas as the group feels drawn to go.

If numbers are small, we’ll stay as one group and take turns sharing:

• the book you read
• a brief summary
• why it mattered to you
• how it shifted your thinking or behaviour

From there, the conversation unfolds naturally.
Bring yourself, an open and curious mind, and the book if you’d like (it’s not required). You’re welcome to simply listen and join in when it feels right.

A list of book titles and authors shared will be posted after the event, so you can stay present in the discussion rather than worrying about taking notes.

The library is open from 1–4 pm. We’ll begin at 1:15 pm, allowing time to arrive, find the table, and grab a cuppa if you wish. There’s a free drink station in the foyer.
