Hike in Jacks Peak (Iris/Rhus Loop)

Let's meet in the Jacks Peak parking area (down the road that is to the right of the ranger’s booth/park entrance), by the park map sign and restrooms. The plan is to hike the Iris/Rhus Trail Loop which has a moderate elevation gain (350 feet), and is about 1.8 miles. So the walk should take about 1 to 1.5 hours. This is on the eastern slopes of Jack’s Peak, which is the highest point on the peninsula. Please dress in layers, and bring a charged cell phone and a water bottle. The hike will begin promptly 5 minutes after the posted start time.
