This is the most intimate corner of the Queen Charlotte Rooms’ Orient Express Experience — a space designed for the discerning traveller, where every table is dressed with traditional Pullman wingback chairs and the air hums with the authentic sounds of the train and piano.

Settle in and let the journey begin. Your afternoon tea arrives on a classic three-tier stand: a choice of three freshly prepared finger sandwiches — perhaps Scottish smoked salmon with cream cheese and cucumber, roast beef with horseradish, or hand-carved ham with a mustard and maple syrup glaze — alongside a warm scone served with clotted cream, strawberry jam, and bergamot curd, and a selection of sweet pastries to finish. A full range of teas and freshly brewed fair-trade coffee is refreshed at your leisure throughout.
