What to Expect
Welcome! Our goal is to create a friendly, supportive, and judgment-free environment where everyone feels comfortable practicing English.
Meeting Agenda
- Introductions and icebreaker (10–15 minutes)
- Guided conversation on everyday topics (45–60 minutes)
- Open conversation and Q&A (15–20 minutes)
Topics may include travel, work, food, culture, current events, hobbies, and everyday life in the United States.
What to Bring
- A positive attitude and willingness to participate.
- A notebook or your phone if you'd like to take notes.
- The location has a café where coffee and other beverages are available for purchase.
Participation
Everyone is encouraged to speak at their own pace. Making mistakes is part of learning, and respect for one another is essential.
Finding the Group
We'll meet at Changing Hands Bookstore, located at The Newton in Central Phoenix. After you RSVP, you'll receive the exact meeting location and any additional instructions.
Registration fee: $20 per session. The first session is free.
