Bike the Armstrong Trail

Details
Weather permitting we are going to bike the Armstrong Trail. The trail is off Rt 28 N and about 40 miles, round trip. You can do less because we will always “Meetup” along the way. It parallels the Allegheny River and is very scenic with many interesting sights. We will see a tunnel that has recently opened, bridges, and even an engine turn-around. The surface is crushed limestone and the trail is very level, but there is a lot of sun so it is better to do it on a cloudy cool day. We will meet at 503 McMillen Rd. Kittanning 16201 and travel towards East Brady. Helmets, water, and sunscreen are recommended.
As always, we will not be in a race to get to the finish line; we will be looking to have fun biking the trail. You can ride at your own pace because we will always “Meetup” along the trail. Nobody is ever left behind. Some ride leisurely and others are more aggressive but we will not be competing. Our goal is to meet new friends, see nature at its finest, get lots of great exercise, and maybe a tasty lunch too. Join us and put some fun into your life.
